  1. A study of university students in California shows that just six minutes of meditating improves college students' test scores. Students who meditated before classes were also able to concentrate more and for longer periods of time. Researchers also believe taking a long morning walk to plan out the day can have a similar effect, if you’re not comfy with Buddhist practices or don’t want your roommate to wake up to you sitting in a lotus pose and humming "OM" in between your dorm bunks at dawn. Say researchers, "Basically, becoming just a little more mindful about yourself and your place in the world might have a very important, practical benefit." [Source]
